logging – This is a web service which allows users to post short messages (usually up to 140 characters), photos and audio clips onto their micro blog. This post can be viewed by a restricted group chosen by the user or by anyone using this service. Posts can be written and received by a number of computer devices, e.g. mobile phones, laptops, etc. Twitter is the most popular micro-blogging website.
With micro-blogging there can be limitations such as privacy. Privacy can be a major concern when users are broadcasting too much information about themselves to everyone that reads their posts. E.g. a user displaying his/her address in their profile and stating their going on holiday.
Micro-blogging can be useful for educational purposes which allow students to communicate with teachers about any problems they may have and can be useful for teachers to share information like assignments. E.g. Edmodo, learnerstogether.
